I’m running telephone lines in my new house using CAT5e cable. I have RJ45 keystone jacks in each room for the telephone. What do I terminate the other end to so I can connect all the telephone wires together? Something like a punch-down block? Please give example of what I could use to connect them (like a model of a block I could use). Please don’t say wire-nut the wires together, I want something neater than that, more professional looking.
Is a terminal block the right way to terminate CAT5 though? I know they used them in old 4 conductor phone wire, but what about 4 pair twisted pair wire?

i am planning my sons first birthday, its a construction / bob the builder theme! i need some ideas for party favors and activities!!

We are considering the purchase of a home that is currently in the construction phase in Orange County, CA. It is listed in the MLS but construction is tarrying and/or delayed (maybe plan changes, permits, or perhaps in hopes of solidifying an offer before completion). Regardless, it has been just under 3 years and the home price has nearly doubled. If we make an offer lower than the asking price, is the builder/seller obligated to complete it per the amenities, permits and plans? What safeguards would we have to ensure that the builder would not cut corners? The cost of the home will be prohibitive for most, so we are not concerned about offers at this time. Is it unwise to offer pre-completion? Please, only Professional and experienced investors and/or agents.
We do intend to use a buyer’s attorney and/or agent. I am asking this question in order to get the opinion of a PROFESSIONAL & Neutral party.

I am starting my own construction business in connecticut and I need help with the name. I like the ring of Home Builders in the name, but I don’t know what to put in front of it! I tried a search for Custom Home Builders and it is already taken. This is a woman owned company, but does not have to reflect that in the name…

Curious to know just exactly how on earth did this house turn into this disgusting squalor? I know it wasn’t by fire since the entire house is still intact. It looks perfectly normal on the outside as if the home is perfectly livable however the inside is completely squalid and obvious it is a condemned, abandoned, deserted home.

So anyways what caused this?

If it wasn’t in this condition before it officially got condemed, abandoned and deserted then what was the obvious reason the why the previous owners left?
Why wasn’t this squalor torn down?

Possible future assessment.

Building Trades.I am able to read blue prints , plan, direct, and coordinate a wide variety of construction projects, including the building of all types of residential homes . I can supervise the construction process from the framing stage through final construction, making sure that the project gets done on time . I also do framing / drywall , a little electrical , painting , roofing ,doors , siding , soffit , facia , tile and wood floors. I have overseen multi-million dollar homes and I was a foreman for two framing companies .I also have been a foreman/supervisor for two custom home builders .I did a historical remodel in Rhode Island

I’m interested in a house, but my parents are leary of it because it’s been built with brick around it. They say they think it might be hiding problems with the house. It seems like the brick work is recent because the front porch and garage are bricked in, and the realator said the porch and garage weren’t included in the square footage because heat/air wasn’t run to them. Also the bricks just look new. What could be hidden, and would you invest in a home like this?
Other problems include:
Foundation problems. Im not too woried about this because my brother is General manager of a foundation repair company.
Roof will need to be replaced.

For years, these new home builders have been so smug. Every time telling us that we were at their mercy and had to pay their ridiculous inflated prices. Now the tables are turned and I am looking forward to picking up several new homes at a steal and using them as rentals. What do you guys think is a good percentage to start negotiating at below asking price? 20%, 30% or maybe more…

I bought a foreclosed split level home two years ago. My house was built in 1990. I was doing some remodeling and noticed that that the upper level that hangs over the foundation is not to code. The floor joists that hang over the foundation only come back over towards the middle of the house the same distance as the over-hang. It is my understanding that if there is a two foot overhang, the support has to be at least four feet long. Is the builder liable because the house is not to code? Is the township liable because they approved the house at the time of construction?

We are trying to buy a new Mobile Home which will be converted to real property. We are working with a very well known bank institution and have been approved for a construction loan. They are telling me that Builders Risk Insurance needs to be purchased before they can give us a final approval on the loan. I called the local insurance companies and they insist they do not cover it for Mobile Homes. I brought this to the banks attention over a month ago, yet they are still telling me I need to get Builders Risk Insurance. What do I do? Supposably the mobile home builders don’t cover the Builders Risk Insurance or the contractor, so it’s up to me. How does this usually work? Is the buyer usually the one responsible for this?
Well we call them mobile homes here, but it is a Manufactured home.
