We are first time buyers. We both have low credit scores. Mine 550-580 and his 500-520. We are looking into a FHA loan. The house we are looking at is a bank owned has been on the market since sept.08 and the starting price was 169,900 and is now 114,900. We have 5% for the down payment. What does the 7,500 help with?

all the morgage companies I have talked to only give loans for 50-100k. I do not need one that high, does anyone know any that dont ask for a minimum of that?
If you have a second morgage on a home and it catches on fire, does the second morgage company need to know.?

I have been a residential construction superintendent for four years now with one of the top builders in the country. As we all know residential construction has taken a down turn. I was lucky when i started with my current company as i was an electronics technician in the navy with no construction experience at all and they gave me great training. I have construction experience but not in the commercial industry and would like get some ideas on how to get my foot in the door with a commercial firm that would give me a chance and a little training. Any answers especially from commercial GC’s would be greatly appreciated.

I have to set up the sewer and water on my land, and it will cost me about 4,000 dollars. Do most mobile home loan companies work with you on that? If not, where else can i get a loan for it?

If so, are you happy with them as they are today. They were formerly known as Countrywide Home Loans.
Unfortunately they are currently my mortgage company so I won’t be able to rid myself of them too easily.

I want to buy a new townhome in a new construction community in Boynton Beach, Florida. The homes are immaculate and the builder is offering HUGE incentives to buy, almost $75k off the original price. The thing is, the community is half built, and construction is very slow right now. I’m worried about the company, Centerline Homes, going bankrupt. How can I find out if they’re doing well or not??

We were supposed to close on our home today. The title comp. says that there is an issue which involves something needing to be pain in the file between the seller and the builder. The home is new construction and the seller and the builder are the same people. They are not at liberty to discuss details with us, broker (builders broker might add), or our realtor – they just said it had nothing to do with us. Our stuff is in order, but everyone is just curious as to what could possible be the problem with the new home builder and the title when they have already built out this subdivision with 200 homes. We are wondering if it’s something standard that the closer from the title company just waited too late to do. I would like more insight from anyone who has run into the problem, knows about the business, or heard something. My web search to demystify the inner workings of title issues that sound similar has not been succesful. Please help- FYI:home has never been lived in.
