I bought two (one walnut/antique brass and one white) for installation in two rooms of an addition to my home. The fan operates silently without vibration. <br />The motor cover does not go flush to the ceiling but I figure that is to prevent noise transmission. We did wonder if we would feel the full effect of the air flow but no problem at all (even with it mounted flush to ceiling).
