If I am on title on a home, can I be added to a home loan without refinancing?

This is if I am on title, credit scores are similar. Is there some sort of addendum that can be done like when you take over payments of a car note.

I entered into a Debt management plan a couple of months ago to consolidate my bills, my credit was over exstended and to keep from getting behind we entered this program. I now realize that I could probally refinance my home and borrow on the equity to pay off debt. My home is owner finance, it was just appraised for $111,000 and we only owe $39,000 on it. What I am wondering is if it is possible to get a refinance or home equity loan with no or bad credit? If so where?

Which would be better for us, taking out a home equity loan or refinancing?

My husband and I want to take about $15,000 to pay off debt and renovate our home, which we just purchased last July. Our current interest rate is 7.25% and we owe about 65k on our home that appraised at 100k. The problem is that our credit is not great and not well established. A friend and I have purchased a house about a year ago. We went in 50/50. We were informed that our interest rate has lowered and we are eligible to refinance the loan. My question is, I would like to move back home and allow my friends girlfriend to take my place on the mortgage so I can be free of the financial burden of the house and move, first, is this an actual option for me, and secondly, is there a buyout payment that I should be asking for? I found out a couple of weeks ago that we had two mortgages on my house, something called 80/20. We were having a hard time paying some credit cards so i’m thinking of consolidating them and refinancing my home through wells fargo, I understand about refinancing but their telling us the equity on the home will help pay those credit cards. Can anyone give me more information about this, is this a right way to go? or is their a catch to it?

Closed on a new home before it was contractualy finished. Builder now says he will not compleat many of the items. What course of action do I have in the State Of New Mexico short of a civil suit??? I have contacted NMCID the attorney general page clearly states it will not act on real estate or land matters. I have wrote the Lt Governor. If I go to civil court even when I win there is no assurance that I will recieve the settlement awarded. Can I lean on the builders property? The person representing the construction company does not have a contractors liscense the qualified party I have not even met. What can I do????????

My husband and I are building our first home in a few months, but we want to wait a little bit first and see how the economy goes. We are also trying to see which home building companies are better. We also want to make sure that the company we pick to build our house is going to be around for the long haul. So many are going bankrupt now a days. We fell in love with the floor plans that Meritage Homes has to offer but we know that Perry seems to offer good quality homes. We just can’t seem to find any that we like. Everybody has their own good and bad experiences with each company, but does anybody have any insight or recomendations as to what we should do or what they recommend? Has anyone worked with Meritage recenctly and think we should go for it or not in the next year? Or do they recommend a D.R. Horton, or a Perry instead? The one other builder we are looking at is KB Homes. Any advice anyone can offer would be great. Thanks in advance. Just want to know what you think and which may be better. Whether you have worked with them, heard something, or live or have lived in one of these homes.

This is in the backdrop of recent Bombay High Court Ruling in which they declared the Residential colonies existing EVEN for the last 30 yrs and more on “Forest Land” as ILLEGAL.

How the System Function.

1) A Builder approaches the State Govt. Agency i.e. The BMC for developing a Land which cannot be lawfully developed.

2) The State i.e. BMC gives permission for Development.

3) The Development/Constructions takes place,, People buy Properties and pay Municipal Taxes.

4) The State i.e. BMC approaches the Court to declare the Constructions as ILLEGAL.

5) The Court in the name of upholding the Rule of Law and not taking the State i.e. BMC to task, declare the Constructions as ILLEGAL.

6) The State ensures People not to Worry and they will Protect them from Court’s Order.

A Word Of Caution/Advice!!
Pls approach Bombay High Court and get Certification before buying any Property in the State of Maharashtra.

We relocated and purchased our home about a year and 7 months ago in an area that was more expensive than we were coming from. The purchase price was $239,000, we put down $14,000, and took a home equity loan of $34,000 to finance the rest of the purchase price and to avoid PMI. I recently submitted a question about whether or not to start paying down the first mortgage or the home equity loan, and got great advice, but I am wondering now that my tax value of my home has increased in January from $200,000 to $279,000 due to reassessment, (I know it wouldn’t sell for that now because we recently had comparables done in January), would I save money by refinancing my first mortgage and adding in the home equity loan so the total amount has a lower interest rate? My husband thinks we have to wait 2 years before we can refinance, and I’m not sure about that, but that would be this July. My goal is to pay off our house as soon as possible.

Pretty straight forward

I’m looking at buying a first home and was going to shop rates from several banks. Someone told me that when the banks run your report that your credit score goes down because of it.

Is that true? and by how much?

I have a 2nd mortgage with irwin. 3 years ago i declared bankruptcy for medical reasons but did not reaffirm this mortgage. I did not know that i needed to and Irwin was not present at the hearing. they have tried to foreclose which I stopped and now they won’t let me pay off with a refinance but won’t disclose why. Anyone else have similar problems?
